Beyoncé announces 'Cowboy Carter' tour ahead of Grammys night
Feb 02, 2025
Beyoncé is going on tour! She announced her "Cowboy Carter Tour 2025" on social media. The tour dates have not been shared yet. Beyoncé first performed songs from her album "Cowboy Carter" during a halftime show on Christmas Day. The performance was streamed on Netflix. Now, her album has earned 11 Grammy nominations, including album of the year.
The announcement of her tour came after Beyoncé postponed it due to the California wildfires. She also donated $2.5 million to support families affected by the fires in Altadena and Pasadena. Beyoncé's label, Parkwood Entertainment, responded to the Netflix post about her halftime show, saying "Saddle up, see y’all on the road."
Two years ago, Beyoncé announced her "Renaissance World Tour" at the beginning of February, the start of Black History Month. "Cowboy Carter" is her eighth studio album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. It also topped the Top Country Albums chart, making her the first Black woman to lead the country album list.
The Netflix special for the halftime show now features flashing colors and the phrase "Cowboy Carter Tour" at the end. Beyoncé's album lead single, "Texas Hold 'Em," has achieved double platinum status and is nominated for record of the year and song of the year at the Grammy Awards. Beyoncé's announcement comes on the day of the 67th Grammy Awards, where she is nominated for multiple awards.
