AZ observatory monitoring near-Earth asteroid
Feb 13, 2025
Hey kids! Let’s talk about some cool and important things happening!
First, there's special weather news. A winter storm is coming! This means snow and cold winds in some places. It starts on Thursday at noon and might last until Friday night. If you're in the Kaibab Plateau or Lake Mead National Recreation Area, stay warm and be careful!
Now, what about space? Scientists are watching a big rock from space called an asteroid. It's not very likely to hit our Earth, but they are being safe and keeping an eye on it. Some smart people in Arizona are helping too! That’s pretty exciting, right?
In Arizona, there have been some strange things happening. A man got bitten by a rattlesnake! Yikes! That is not common. And there was a plane accident at Scottsdale Airport. Sadly, one person got hurt, and this makes us think about safety in the sky.
There’s also some sad news. In Mesa, there was a serious event where two people lost their lives. This reminds us that we should always be kind and look out for one another.
So, whether it’s snow outside or something happening in the sky, there’s a lot to know! The weather is changing, and scientists are working hard.
Remember to stay safe! If the weather gets bad, it’s okay to stay inside and play games or read stories. And if you're outside, be sure to wear warm clothes!
That's it for now! Keep smiling and stay curious about the world around you! 🌟
