Syria’s temporary leader, Ahmed al-Shara, is meeting with Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Turkey is a country next to Syria and has lots of Syrian people living there. They also have soldiers in Syria. Turkey is worried about what will happen in Syria and how it will affect them. Ahmed al-Shara is now in charge of Syria after the old leader, Bashar al-Assad, was removed. He is working to bring groups in Syria together and rebuild the country. Turkey and Ahmed al-Shara are talking about how they can help each other. Turkey has been talking to armed groups in Syria since the war started. They were one of the first to meet with Ahmed al-Shara after he became the leader. Turkey is having some problems with their own economy, so they might not be able to help Syria as much as they would like.
